I can't complain about loads of laundry when they are the result of the many wonderful people who have chosen to spend a night or two in our lodge. As the piles began to build, it was clear that it was time to look for a more efficient way to do the laundry. Kasperbauer Cleaners in Carroll is now weekly dropping off and picking up our business laundry. What a blessing! Too bad they don't also make beds. Oh well.
John 15 Journal

We added a new cold entree to our menu - Beef and Slaw Sandwich. The slaw adds a crunch to the pumpernickel bread topped with slices of roast beef, Swiss cheese and bacon. The sandwich is garnished with fresh vegetables with dip and a Pie Bite. Delicious! We provide a private dining experience by reservation and serve only one group of 20 or fewer at a time in our Event Center. Please check out our Catering Menu.
We have a new family member, Daisy. We saw her resting in a tuft of weeds in the field across the road. Such a skinny timid girl she was. After a lot of food, love and patience she now seems to be right at home. She greets our guests with a woof and wagging tail eager to be petted. A young boy who was staying in our event center/lodging with his family really took to Daisy. His comment was, "Daisy is going to miss me when I go back to Michigan." Come meet Daisy.
Our annual Open House will be Saturday, September 20th, 9 am-6 pm. We will have a fun filled day of events - free day of golf, live vocal music by Ken Morlan, burgers grilled by Mike Holden of Moo Meat, tours of our properties and grape products and produce for sale. Come out and join us!

Our guests are the nicest people. We served a group of ladies from Ralston a lunch of ham balls, roasted potatoes, green beans almondine, dinner salad, fresh dinner rolls with (you guessed it) grape jelly and topped off with grape pie and ice cream drizzled with grape syrup. YUM! The comment was, “It was just like a tea room, only better. It was private with no noise or activity around us.” It is so much fun serving such gracious people. We can serve groups of 20 or fewer.

Kids like ice fishing with their dads! The Vineyard Pond is fun in all kinds of weather.
What a nice retreat! Our daughters arranged a family get together to make Christmas cookies. Actually, it was a surprise birthday get together! The little touches make this place so special. The hosts were so personable and caring - they didn’t treat us like we were clients. The family treated their mom and dad to a night stay in the Vineyard lodging after cookie making and dinner.
